Here at winesale we have been importing Bodegas Valdelana wines from Rioja for a number of years. We are ever impressed with the clean and modern style of wines from this classic region. Blown away with the ever astonishing prices.... Valdelana is located in the village of Elciego,  in the region known as Rioja Alavesa. A family owned and operated estate now in its fith generation. Riddled with history, the estate boasts spectacular underground cellars dating from the 15th century.

Valdelana Tinto is produced mainly from Tempranillo (95%) and a small percent of Viura (5%). The Tempranillo vines are over 35 years old. The Tinto is a young and fresh style of Rioja, produced by the winery Valdelana in the D.O Rioja.

Deep cherry-red, with light purple hues. High aromatic intensity, with prevailing notes of red fruit, strawberries; aromas of black fruit, wild blackberries, raspberries, redcurrants. Well-balanced in the mouth, with a powerful and greedy entrance. Long finish of fresh red fruit at the end. Amazing value Rioja, Spains No1 region.
