Five Stars - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit (2019 vintage)
"Fabulously fruited and pristine, the wine shows dark plum, sweet cherry, floral and subtle spice aromas on the nose, leading to a succulent palate that is supple and lingering. It is delightfully attractive and wonderfully composed with silky texture and fine-grained tannins, making it immediately appealing. At its best: now to 2022."

Beetlejuice.. Beetlejuice.. Beetlejuice

Despite being named after a cult 80s movie . Its also name to a cult little wine named after an endangered Beetle. Made by the team at Wooing tree, a well renowned producer based in Cromwell. The single site estate is named after a "Wooing Tree".... many a courtship of the region was apparently started under said tree....oooh la la

Often Challenges some estate own labels, Beetle juice is all you would expect and more. Not bad at this price!

Ripe hand picked fruit, gentle winemaking and maturation in French oak have resulted in an attractive wine. A soft and subtle palate of red fruits and fine grained tannins with aromas of blackberries, plums and spice. Showing good focus and length. Excellent value, drinking fantastically well now and will develop and cellar for several years.
