The fruit we select from the Wairau Valley gives the blend bright red fruit flavours. Compared to the Wairau Valley, the Awatere Valley is cooler at night giving fruit with intense dark colour and wild herb complexity

Try pairing this wine with; Crispy five spice scented Peking duck pancakes with hoisin sauce and Asian greens.

This off-dry 2019 South Australian Shiraz is a vibrant and fruit-forward wine that boasts aromas of juicy red berries, raspberry, and black cherry. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with a silky texture, displaying flavours of ripe red fruit and a hint of chocolate. The wine has a pleasant balance of acidity with an easy-to-drink finish. Grant Burge (Barossa) 2021 Distinction Holy Trinity GSM

The Holy Trinity is a traditional blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre. The fruit for this wine is Barossa grown, predominantly handpicked from old, dry-grown vines which range from 35 to 90 years old. 

Brilliant and vibrant ruby red colour.

A playful combination of candied apple, raspberry jubes, frangipane and lemon curd. In the background you see notes of cinnamon and clove.

Medium to full bodied, fresh and vibrant with enough tannin to shape the wine. Acidity carries the wine through to a clean, slightly mineral and lengthy finish. Lovely hints of fresh raspberries and cinnamon linger on the palate.

Grant Burge (Barossa) 2022 Distinction Filsell Shiraz

The Grant Burge Wines Filsell vineyard of near century old vines is considered one of the best vineyards in the Barossa Valley, and consistently produces fruit of incredible intensity and concentration. Planted in 1920, the Filsell vineyard also produces some of the fruit for the highly acclaimed Meshach Shiraz, making the Filsell Shiraz a sought-after younger brother to loyal followers.

Nose: Dark chocolate, mocha, plum with caramel lift. Sweet spice and cacao nib. Although serious Shiraz black fruits show the layers are extended with earth and vanilla.

Palate: The tannins are firm but fine, with a full weight and texture carrying liquorice, black spice and some juniper. Full with intense flavours, the wine carries through for an intensely long finish

Deep dark purple in colour, this wine instantly impresses with aromas of raspberry and blackberry, complemented by spice, subtle vanilla and coffee bean. The soft integrated tannin structure gives the wine a real elegance and mid palate structure. The multi-layered depth of flavours and long lingering finish make this an impressive wine.

Italia (Abruzzo Italy) 2022 DOC Montepulciano d’Abruzzo

Aromas and plum and black cherry with a hint of spice. The palate combines ripe, redcurrant and blackberry fruit with a bright, savoury finish.

Produced from selected parcels of Montepulciano grapes grown in the Chieti province of Abruzzo, on southeast Italy’s Adriatic coast. Hand-harvested from low-yielding 30-50 year old vines. Fermentation takes place in small batches at 28-30ºC, with daily pumping over, and the skins are left in contact with the fermenting wine for 10 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to Adria’s cellars for a brief maturation prior to bottling.

Match with pasta dishes with meat or tomato sauces, pizza, grilled and barbecued meats.

Italia (Puglia Italy) 2021 IGT Primitivo

A warm, richly flavoured red with aromas of plums, dried fruits and brown spices. On the palate it's generous with good concentration of ripe plum and black cherry fruit and hints of dried figs, liquorice and dark chocolate. All balanced by fresh acidity.

Drink with grilled meats or pasta dishes with meat or spicy sauces.

Italia (Puglia Italy) 2022 IGT Sangiovese

A medium bodied, everyday drinking red with aromas of red berry and damson fruit. Fresh and lively on the palate with ripe berry fruit balanced by tangy acidity and quite firm tannins leading to a warm, spicy finish.

Fermentation took place at 28 to 30C with 10 days on the skins and daily pumping over. After malolactic fermentation the wine was transferred to Adria’s cellars where it is bottled.

Ideal with simple pasta tossed in butter and Parmesan or with tomato based sauces

Johner Estate (Wairarapa) 2021 Syrah

These syrah grapes were hand-picked from the Johner Gladstone block in the hot and sunny 2021 vintage. They have  produced this easy-to-drink, sun ripened Syrah.  Black-berry fruit aromas and a palate of black pepper, savoury spices and with a hint of violets. This will match well with spicy dishes of vegetables, lentils  and game meat in particular.

Johner Estate (Wairarapa) 2022 Pinot Noir

Johner Estate wines are driven by Karl Johner. With a top winery in Germany, that focusses on Pinot Noir he then set his sights on New Zealand, planting eight hectares of different clones.

Rich in colour, this Pinot Noir has red berry fruit and forest floor notes on the nose. The palate has  savoury notes of porcini, autumnal wood smoke and earthy notes developing as the wine opens up. This Pinot noir will increase in complexity as it matures over the next five years.

Kim Crawford (Marlborough) 2022 Pinot Noir

Lifted red berry fruit aromas with dark cherry notes, complemented by savory undertones and spicy oak. Ripe, dark berry flavors of blackberry and black currant. Subtle hints of oak help fill out the palate.

Kim Crawford (McLaren Vale) 2021 Shiraz

Deep ruby red. Vibrant blackberry notes, with a hint of spice. Rich, dark berry fruit flavours of McLaren Vale Shiraz burst to life in this deliciously, full bodied wine. Balanced with oak and peppery spice.

The palate shows rich and plush with generous black fruits and berries. Notes of spice and oak combine with robust tannins, resulting in an elegant expression of an outstanding Clare Valley Cabernet. Pair this with Barbecued lamb ribs for a perfect match.
